The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays, by Ree Drummond

I do love Ree Drummond’s books (and her Food Network show). Admittedly, only occasionally do I prepare some of her recipes, as they tend to rely on meat as a key ingredient. But her pico de gallo and restaurant-style salsa recipes have become my go-to choices for fajita night. Aside from her quirky, slightly dorky, down-home sense of humor, my favorite thing about Drummond is the warmth and color that fill her books. Her photographs of the food (including the step-by-step instructional ones), her family, her dogs and the family ranch are gorgeous.
